Well I'm doing it - and I'm making it public too.... I've officially started the Couch-to-5k running program! I'm going to need all the support I can get! I *thought* I signed up for a 5k here in Auburn for June 12th. Well unfortunately (and fortunately) I didn't actually sign up! It works out well because now I'd be double booked that day, but I'm still going to run a 5k this summer. There is another one in Auburn in July. I'm aiming for that one!
So three reasons I'm running (Ok, let's face it, I'll be jogging) the Couch-2-5k:
1. My thighs slap when I run. Ughhh
2. I've always wanted to run a 5k
3. It will help me get healthy for the summer
Today I started on week 3 because I'm in good health and I do run occassionally...... week 3 seemed like a good (and easy) place to start for my level of running.
My amazing wedding photographer, Suzanne Simmons, completed the couch-to-5k and did her first 5k a few weekends ago..... and I plan to do the same. Thanks for inspiring me Suzanne!
